These pieces titled 'Reclaiming the nude' are a series of illustrations that are about rewriting the narrative behind the female nude. Drawn in a style that emulates the classic Sailor Jerry pinup girls, the idea was to shift the perception that an image of a confidently naked and beautiful woman is specifically for the male gaze. 

The illustrations are of a diverse range of women drawn in a typical pinup style but doing activities that are non-sexualised and every day, from watching Netflix to shaving their legs, reading, taking a selfie. (All whilst looking great!)
The accompanying illustrations emulate traditional tattoo compositions but with tongue and cheek copy to flip the commentary.
